This has been debated again and again. I believe the death penalty should be for the worst crimes commited. Such as brutal killers/serial killers etc.
Now maybe serial rapists/child molestors might need to be lock up for life or maybe consider capital punishment. A lot of them serve their time then become repeat offenders. Some don’t even register as sex offenders.
But the awareness and bans from certain places-where young people actively go is very helpful. And again some even find their way around it. Still, it is not enough to protect children from sexual predators. But then again it’s hard to decide.
Because not all pedophiles are adults. Some are even teenagers/adolescents that prey on younger children and/or women.
Anyway, it’s hard to decide what the best punishment should be for repeat sex offenders. What do you think?
Kill them. It’s best and safest answer. Modify the three strikes rule so that on the third sexual offense of that nature it becomes a capital with the death penalty as the only punishment.
Frankly, any crime that could carry the death penalty should always carry the death penalty as the only choice. If people don’t think that a particular crime always deserves death as the punishment then that particular crime should never carry the possibility of it.
That eliminates prejudice and much of the systemic and human failings surrounding the death penalty.
